Wayne State University School of Medicine (WSUSOM)
Fourth-year medical students may register for General Diagnostic Radiology at Detroit Medical Center (9350). Students interested in interventional radiology will have the option to complete a portion of their elective with the interventional radiology service. Students interested in completing a research elective at the Department of Radiology at Detroit Medical Center will need to complete an independent elective form.
Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSU-COM)
Fourth-year medical students may register for Radiology Specialty at Detroit Medical Center (609) or Advanced Radiology (610). Students interested in interventional radiology will have the option to complete a portion of their elective with the interventional radiology service. Students interested in completing a research elective at the Department of Radiology at Detroit Medical Center may also complete a form to be able to do so.
Away or Audition Rotations
Medical students interested in doing an audition or away elective clerkship at Detroit Medical Center Department of Radiology can apply through the Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO)™ program. Interested students should select the Wayne State University School of Medicine affiliated Detroit Medical Center radiology residency program. Rotation sites include Central Campus (Midtown) and Sinai-Grace Hospital.

MR Core Research Facility
The center is working to develop and apply revolutionary MR methods for early detection of disease and monitoring of treatment in these patients. Ultimately, the MR center hopes that research performed by the many basic and clinical scientists here will lead to a better understanding of human physiology and disease.
