Wellness
The DMC-WSU Radiology Department considers resident wellness as a priority in medical training. Leadership has launched programs to improve resident well-being and will continue to innovate to address our residents' needs.
Highlights for wellness at DMC-WSU Radiology include:
- Wellness Thursdays with meals provided
- End-of-Block meetings for structured monthly feedback sessions with lunch provided
Women in Radiology
Program Improvement Committee (PIC)
- Addressing the gender gap in Radiology training, academics and leadership.
- Providing resources to women's unique needs to maintain a healthy home and work life balance.
- Providing mentorship opportunities for residents and medical students.
Highlights/goals of the Women in Radiology program include:
- Establishing a mentor-mentee program for female residents and medical students
- Establishing clear resident-friendly maternity and paternity leave policies
- Maternity support (e.g. help with declaration of pregnancy, schedule adjustment, and lactation room directory)
- Quarterly social events
